LIBERATE!

Shadow alchemy Immersion

23-26 2024

Koh Phangan, Thailand

A Deep-Dive journey of Shadow Alchemy

Unlock the power of your unconscious

&

Worship the totality of your being.

This is a journey for seekers of truth.

For those ready to recognize their infinite power and their divine nature, in all it's beautiful, messy and fluid forms.

For those who would rather know Truth of reality and who they really are, than remain in their patterns of drama and ignorance.

For those seeking to wake up from the waking dream.

For those who want to fully understand themselves and the world around them while grounded in loving compassion for life and all beings. Who long to live fully from their heart and grounded in their bodies.

And for those who want to live an authentic, empowered and full-spectrum life.

For the seekers of liberation,

For those exploring the mystery.

At the LIBERATE immersion, we invite you into a transformational process for your liberation.

This retreat will guide you to  explore the shadow, the unconscious, and your authentic truth.

If you're ready to see through the conditioned patterns and illusions in life, and the roles we play in it, then this is a course for you.

Shadow work is part of 'The Great Work' - the path to full awakening and becoming whole.

"Until you make your unconscious, conscious- it will rule your life and you will call it fate."

Carl Jung.

As a group, we'll journey together to uncover and release the outdated conditioning, shame, and limiting beliefs that hold us back from living and loving fully.

Through embodied shadow work, breathwork, movement, inquiry, meditation, and other holistic methods, we'll strip back the layers preventing us from fully embracing life and expressing ourselves authentically.

What is Embodied Shadow Work?

Embodied Shadow Work is a profound practice that combines the practices and concepts of shadow work with somatic and embodiment techniques, allowing us to deeply engage with and integrate the hidden aspects of our psyche for healing, liberation and personal growth.

Shadow work is about making the unconscious, rejected and/or exiled parts of our being conscious- coming into radical acceptance, love and wholeness instead of repression, projection and inner separation

When we explore shadow work, we really allow ourselves to look at our uncomfortable patterns and behaviours and find the magic (and medicine) within them. We are not just sprinking affirmations and positive thinking, being all 'love and light'... we are allowing ourselves to acknowledge and embrace the sticky, uncomfortable and even painful stuff in our life, moving away from self-rejection and into deep acceptance and wholeness.

In this course we explore the integration of the unconscious from the lens of NonDual Tantra- the path of liberation and ecstacy. Tantra is an EMBODIED spiritual tradition, so this course has a big focus on embodiment rather than just psychoanalysis and the mental realm. We land this work IN the body.

Shadow work, a term coined by Carl Jung, involves exploring unconscious parts of ourselves—both negative and positive traits—that we repress or deny. By bringing these hidden parts into conscious awareness, we can integrate them into our psyche, leading to a more balanced and authentic self and breaking unconscious patterns that disrupt our lives.

Embodiment involves fully inhabiting and experiencing our physical bodies, becoming aware of bodily sensations, movements, and how emotions manifest physically. In the context of shadow work, embodiment practices help us access and integrate the unconscious aspects stored in our bodies through movement, breathwork, somatic exercises, and mindfulness techniques.

This holistic approach ensures healing and growth are not just intellectual or emotional but also physical, enhancing self-awareness, facilitating emotional release, and improving relationships. This also can support the healing and integration of trauma and ruptures over time.

We also bring 'circle work' into this experience, where our peers become our perfect mirrors for our inner landscape and we experience transpersonal healing through community.

Embodied shadow work offers a powerful and transformative path for personal growth and healing by integrating the mind and body, allowing for a more authentic and empowered life.

What awaits you

Over the course of the extended weekend, we will delve deeply into various transformative practices, including:

  • Embodied Shadow Work: Explore the hidden aspects of yourself and integrate them into your being through the body
  • Circle Work: Using psychodynamic circle processes we'll explore the shadow as a tribe
  • Transformational Breathwork: Use the power of breath to release emotional blockages and connect with your inner radiance
  • Inquiry: Engage in deep self-reflection and questioning to uncover our stories and projections on the world
  • Meditation: Cultivate mindfulness and presence through guided NonDual meditation practices.
  • Dance: Express yourself freely through movement and reconnect with your body.
  • Archetypal Exploration: Discover and embody different archetypes to gain deeper insights into your psyche.
  • Somatic Embodiment Practices: Develop a stronger connection to your body and its wisdom.

Our Intention

Our goal is to support your embodied liberation, allowing you to clear away what no longer serves you, touch your inner power and truth, and release the shame that keeps you small and suffering. By the end of the retreat, you will feel more connected to your authentic self and empowered to live a life of freedom and joy.

Our teachings are rooted in the path of Tantra- where embodied liberation is the goal and spiritual and psychological processes are implemented to free us from limiting conditioning so we can access our authentic nature.

Take me on this Journey!

Is This Retreat for You?

This retreat is ideal for:

  • Spiritual seekers ready for deeper inner work.
  • Those who are looking to break out of unconscious patterns
  • Those who have explored the light side of spirituality, and are now prepared to face the shadows and uncomfortable parts for the sake of Truth
  • Individuals familiar with meditation, rituals, and embodiment work who are eager to go deeper.

This retreat is not recommended for:

  • People with strong active trauma who do not have the support of a personal therapist. We recommend working one-on-one with a professional before considering group process work to build resilience and understand your boundaries.
  • Folks completely new to spirituality or personal development. You should have some experience with meditation, yoga, and/or similar practices, and have already begun 'the work.' This is more suited to intermediate or advanced practitioners

What Shadow Work is...

  • Processes and tools to explore hidden, repressed or exiled aspects of your psyche

  • A way to access beautiful and powerful parts of your authentic nature that you may have cut off due to conditioning

  • An important part of the journey to wholeness, healing and awakening

  • A way to uncover patterns that keep you stuck in drama and suffering

  • A way to look at taboos and subjects not commonly spoken about or reflected on in our culture/s

  • A vital part of the self-love journey so we can accept and know our full selves!

What it is not...

  • A way to bypass your trauma and sprinkle more 'love and light' only your issues

  • Only about dark/evil/bad stuff- your shadow aspects can be 'positive' too!

  • Anything to do with 'high vibe' or 'low vibe', here we collapse dualities

  •  A replacement for professional support and healing relationships with therapists/coaches/guides

  • It's not recommended for people who are currently experiencing chronic depression or deep trauma, or ideal for 'beginners' in the self-development/self healing journey

Some results you may experience from doing shadow work are...

  • A deeper understanding of yourself, especially parts that you may have rejected or ignored

  • Becoming a more free and authentic expression of yourself and your true, authentic nature

  • Experiencing fewer triggers and emotional reactivity in your life

  • Learning to love, accept and even embrace uncomfortable and challenging situations in life

  • More confidence in exploring love and relationships

  • Deeper compassion and empathy for others, which allows you to live in a state of unconditional love and acceptance

  • More understanding of trauma and how it plays out in your life- and collectively.

  • Deeper acceptance and understanding of life and the patterns that play out, whether 'good' or 'bad'

  • More ecstatic aliveness in your day to day life

  • Experience deeper and more authentic relationships with people and be able to empathize and be compassionate from them even when they piss you off or do things you don't like.

  • Accepting the full spectrum of your own limitless potential and your true divine nature (you're actually the entire universe of experiences and energy in flesh!)

Accommodation is not provided. There are plenty of places nearby, even walking distance, from the venue :) We recommend the Pure Laguna Residencies located a 3 minute walk from the shala.

The Location

Koh Phangan, Thailand

The training will be held at Sati Yoga on Koh Phangan, in 'Srithanu'. It's a beautiful large and open shala surrounded by nature.

Koh Phangan is a famous tropical island, sometimes nicknamed 'Tantra Island'

The location is in the heart of the wellness side of the island and nearby the famous nude beach 'Zen Beach' - close to many healthy and delicious restaurants

You will find many types of accommodation around the area, from beautiful hotels to cheap bungalows by the beach. There is not much in the way of taxis or transport so you'll need to either rent a scooter or a car. There are slow '3 wheeler' electric scooters if you're not confident driving one which are a safer option.

Getting There

The quickest way to get to Koh Phangan is to fly to Koh Samui and get the ferry across which takes under an hour (there are many ports on Samui, a few are close to the airport) but often there are not so many flights to the island and they are much more expensive.

The next option is to fly to Surat Thani airport, get a bus to Donsak and get the ferry across to the island which takes about 3 hours.

Otherwise, you can fly to Bangkok or Phuket and book a combination transport with bus and ferry or train and ferry. We highly recommend spending the extra money on the VIP bus if you take a bus as it can be very uncomfortable for such a long time.

I recommend using ROME 2 RIO to look at your options, and to arrive a couple of days before the retreat so you have time to settle and reset before we begin!

Assistants

We'll have additional team members being assistants and emotional support for this journey

Safety and Trauma-Awareness

We continually strive to create a trauma-informed space, especially when diving deep into sensitive topics and group dynamics. Our team are all trained in trauma awareness and hold a deep care

We invite you to check in with yourself before each practice, express your boundaries and always honour your 'No'. If you need to, you are welcome to watch a practice instead of participating, and we will not judge or shame you for going at your own pace.

Our aim is to provide a safe enough space for you to explore your desires, edges, and inner world. We have a dedicated care team with training in supporting people through spiritual and emotional struggles, supporting our participants whenever possible.

However, please note that this work isn't a replacement for therapy - it's a brave space for people ready to explore new things. This space may not be suitable for everyone, and attending an intensive retreat like this requires a level of self-holding. Therefore, we may not accept all applications if we don't feel a person is a fit for the work we'll be doing here.

If you're unsure, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
